Studied in Munich and Bonn. - During the First World War, he served as a staff doctor; in Munich he was a member of the Jewish student fraternity 'Jordania'. - In 1920 Marcus began working at the Moabit Municipal Hospital in Berlin, where he became senior physician in 1929 and habilitated in 1932. Dismissed on 29.4.1933. - Emigrated to Palestine, co-founder of the private hospital Assuta, then Hadassah Hospital Tel Aviv.
