Intelligence service and internal secret service of the NSDAP, founded in 1931. From 1934 onwards, it was solely responsible for all intelligence and counterintelligence activities of the NSDAP. In 1939, the Security Service and Security Police were merged to form the Reichssicherheitshauptamt, into whose departments the Security Service and Security Police were incorporated.
