Andrea Hammel (BA Essex, MA, MA, DPhil Sussex) is Professor of German and the Director of the Centre for the Movement of People at Aberystwyth University in Wales, UK. She is a committee member of the Research Centre for German and Austrian Exile Studies, University of London, a member of the Beirat of the Gesellschaft für Exilforschung, and the series editor of Exilstudien/ Exile Studies at Peter Lang.
