Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF) is a broadcasting organization headquartered in Mainz. Together with ARD and Deutschlandradio, ZDF forms the public broadcasting system in Germany. ZDF aired its first program in 1963 and is one of the largest public broadcasters in Europe.
